Children's Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County
The mission of the Hidalgo County's Children’s Advocacy Center is to
break the cycle of child abuse through collaborative intervention in a child-sensitive environment
. Our vision of success is
improving the lives of abused children
in Hidalgo County and providing national leadership on child abuse issues.
We accomplish this by:
Coordinating a multi-disciplinary team to investigate, treat, and prosecute child abuse cases
in Hidalgo County. The multi-disciplinary team consists of Hidalgo Children’s Advocacy Center staff, Tx Dept. of Family & Protective Services, Child Protective Services Division (CPS), law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and medical providers.
